Parks & Recreation
Information and resources on the Jacksonville, Florida’s Arlington Area Parks and Recreation areas. Â The listing will include complete addresses, phone numbers and web addresses. Â There will be reviews of the parks with general information on the hours and activities, such as a dog area, available at the parks when we visit them in the blog area. Â The recreation area can include putting parks, boating ramps and sports.
For now we have gone to the City of Jacksonville Recreation and Parks website area and compiled a listing of the parks maintained by the City below. Each listing is by zip code and in an acrobat reader format file available for viewing, downloading to your computer and/or printing. As I have said the parks are sorted by zip code and then alphabetically with name, address or location, listing of amenities, hours and most have a brief history. As we get pictures of the parks we will be adding them to a slide show below.
If you have been to any of these parks and would like to make a recommendation or a suggestion to not attend then please feel free to make comments and include pictures if you have them. Â If you have information on upcoming festivals, sporting events or you or your children are participants in any sports then by all means post that information as well.
